Township Relief Assistance

Eligible applicants may receive assistance for rent or mortgage, utilities, food, medical care, burials, and other basic necessities, as determined by the trustee and the applicant’s caseworker.

Board of Education Appointment

The Center Township Board of Porter County, Indiana, is encouraging any interested resident of Center Township to submit written information indicating a desire to serve on the Board of Education, Valparaiso Community Schools.

Other Projects & Information

Center Township has been and will continue to be involved in several project that affect and improve the overall condition of the township and its residents. More information on these projects will be posted soon.

Application Process

  1. Live in Center Township
  2. Be in need of basic necessities
  3. Have little or no income or assets
  4. Meet eligibility standards as set by the Center Township Board

Eligible township residents should call the Trustee’s office to schedule an appointment. You will be asked to fill out an application for assistance and bring with you the required documentation. You will then be interviewed by one of our caseworkers, who will determine if you are eligible to receive assistance.
